Under what conditions can I travel with a half-fare ticket ?
I can travel with half-fare Tickets t+ or half-fare Origin-destination tickets if I meet one of the following conditions :
- I am eligible to the Solidarity Transport Reduction and my reduced rate right is registered in my Navigo card
- I am under 10 years of age
- I am blind and hold a disability card bearing the word "Blindness"
- I hold an ONAC veteran card with a disability rate between 25 and 45%. I am entitled to use half-fare tickets on all modes of transport if I live in the Ile-de-France region, or only on the RATP and on the SNCF Transilien networks otherwise (excluding buses operated by private companies)
- I am part of a group (10 people and more) of primary / secondary school pupils or young people under the age of 16 and I travel on the rail network with an adult ; my reduced price is only valid on the subway, RER and Transilien networks.
- I belong to a large family (3 children and more) and hold a SNCF "Familles nombreuses" card allowing to travel with half-fare tickets in the Ile-de-France region.
How can I use my Navigo card to travel beyond the zones of my Navigo pass ?
If I hold a 2-zone Navigo pass (weekly, monthly or annual), a 2-zone Navigo Solidarity pass (weekly or monthly) or an Amethyst pass, I can buy a “complément de parcours” (trip complement) when I travel by train (RER RATP, SNCF Transilien) beyond the zones of my pass. This allows me to pay only the part of the trip outside the zones already covered by my pass. The « complément de parcours » is directly loaded on my Navigo card.
To know !
- Since the « complément de parcours » is a fare for immediate use, it has the highest priority among the season fares loaded on your Navigo card. It will get validated by the next travel following the purchase. It has to be used within 3 hours after purchase and remains valid 3 hours after its first validation.
- You can buy only one “complément de parcours” at a time: it is not possible to buy a return-ticket, or a book of “compléments de parcours”.
- Your “complément de parcours” is not valid in the bus or Noctilien, nor in the tram network.
Please note: if you hold a monthly or annual pass, you can travel on any mode within all the Ile-de-France region during rezoning.
How to get it ?
You can buy it at full price (or half-price if you are entitled to travel with a Solidarity Transport Reduction) on automatic ticket machines or at ticket offices in RATP and Transilien SNCF stations. It is neither sold onboard buses, nor in accredited shops
- You can only buy it at the station where your trip begins.
"Rezoning" : when can I use my Navigo card within all Ile-de-France ?
All holders of a monthly or annual pass (2-zone Navigo pass, 2-zone Navigo Solidarity pass or Amethyst pass) are allowed to travel on all the public transports of Ile-de-France with their regular subscription, regardless of the selected zones of their pass :
- During the week-ends
- During public holidays
- During Paris-area school holidays
- During summer, from July 15 to August 15
Does my child have to buy a ticket to travel ?
If your child is under 4 years, transport is free.
Aged under 10 years, your child has the reduced rate to purchase tickets T+ or "origine-destination" tickets (train and RER).
Do veterans have any discounts to travel ?
Some ONAC cards hold by residents of the Ile-de-France region, according to their indications, may give entitlement to either free or discounted tickets on the Ile-de-France networks.
Moreover, veterans over 60 years of age (or 65 in some departments) can benefit from Amethyst passes, awarded by departmental Councils.
Do young trainees have any discount to travel ?
Since September 2011, with funding from the regional Council, young unemployed residents of the Ile-de-France region, aged between 16 and 25, enrolled in a specified vocational training program ("Avenir Jeunes", "Ecole de la deuxième chance" or "Programme Compétence) can travel free within the Ile-de-France region for the duration of their training.
A right to free transport loaded on a Navigo card is awarded to them during their training. It gives them the same acess to the regional networks as a zone 1-to-5 Navigo pass.
How to get it ?
The training organization indicates the procedure to the young trainees who are eligibe for free transport when they start their training.
Is there any special arrangement on pricing in case of pollution peak ?
A specific daily pass is available at the price of 3,80 € in case of exceptional pollution peak.
